From 1991 to 2008, Tony Ponturo served as the President and CEO of Busch Media Group and the Vice President of Global media, sports and entertainment marketing of Anheuser-Busch Inc. Under his leadership, Tony Ponturo managed over $700mm in media, sports and entertainment properties per annum. He oversaw broadcast exclusives in the Super Bowl, FIFA world cup, USOC and International Olympics. In addition he steered official beer sponsorships with MLB, NBA,NHL,MLS and NASCAR. Also, he negotiated the first Dale Earnhardt Jr NASCAR team deal, Formula One and the English Premier League sponsorships plus hundreds of other professional team deals in the U.S. Aside from sports, Tony Ponturo also helped bring beer advertising to the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards and the Golden Globes.
As a member of the Anheuser-Busch Strategy Committee, Tony Ponturo also served on the Board of Directors of both Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and Anheuser-Busch International,inc. In his years at Anheuser-Busch, Tony played an integral role in developing its successful corporate media and sports structure.

Annually recognized as one of the most powerful executives in sports, Tony was most recently ranked by Business Week as #14 out of the top 100 in 2008. He was ranked as the 12th most influential person in sports by the Sports Business Journal in 2007 and the #1 sports advertiser executive in 2004.

Ponturo has served on the Commissioners task force for Major League Baseball, the 1999 Womens World Cup committee and the board of the American Film Institute.
Currently, he is a board member of New York City Center, Sheldon Hall, Channel 9 (PBS) and Opera Theater in St. Louis.
